Inception of Sardar Chanan Singh Ghuman Memorial College of Education, Kishangarh Road, Shahabad Markanda, Distt. Kurukshetra in 2008 blazed a new trail and added a new dimension in the field of education. Registered under society’s regulation Act 1860. Sardar Chanan Singh Ghuman Memorial College of Education, one of the cardinal institutions of men/women in Shahabad Markanda, aims to train and produce self-enlightened, self-reliant and self-ameliorated men/women who may assume variegated roles and responsibilities towards their family, society and country.

Satluj Public High School Education Society, of which Sardar Chanan Singh Ghuman Memorial College of Education is a part, consists of dedicated professionals and academicians who are selflessly and actively involved to the cause of Education by providing infrastructure, land and facilities of highest possible standard.

Although in its infancy, the college with the vision and commitment of its management and highly qualified and professionally trained faculty extends a platform to let the students unveil their inherent and latent talents and there in contributes in their global development viz. Environment, academic, physical, moral, social, cultural, spiritual, technological, economical, democratic, aesthetic and emotional by a distinctive combination of Academic Activities like Micro-Teaching, Mega-Teaching, Real-Teaching, Team-Teaching, information Technology based Teaching etc. and Co-Curricular Activities like Extension Lectures, Assembly, Talent show, Fine arts competitions, Debates, Declamation, Workshops, Exhibitions, Educational trips and tours, visit to School for special children, Old age home, Orphanage, Panorama etc. In a way the chief focus of the college is not only to develop teaching skills but also to develop living skills among teacher trainees.
